Why We Started Ontay Lahana Sound Journeys (Ethos & Inspiration)

The organization takes its name and foundational inspiration from a core guiding philosophy:

Ontay Lahana"To love life, live life, be happy, and love all things."

Clifton and Mariah founded Ontay Lahana Sound Journeys out of a shared passion to bring healing, passive sound exploration into environments where traditional arts and wellness programs rarely reach. Recognizing that seniors, individuals with disabilities, and healthcare workers in long-term care environments face severe emotional fatigue and isolation, they established Ontay Lahana Sound Journeys to restore inner calm, validate presence, and promote holistic health through music, art, and compassionate presence.

Our Approach and Philosophy

Strictly Secular & Inclusive: We maintain a strictly professional, non-denominational, and secular presentation in all our programs. We focus purely on the natural acoustic properties of sound and resonance, ensuring our sessions are welcoming and comfortable for residents of all cultural and personal backgrounds.

Non-Invasive Environment: We prioritize resident safety and comfort. Our setups require no candles, incense, smoke, open flames, or electronic amplification—just clean, beautiful acoustic sound.

Mobility-First Design: Whether serving a large group in a community room or conducting quiet room-to-room visits for bedbound residents, our equipment and formats adapt to the space and needs of each facility.
